You can check out the roadmap below to see all the details of the upcoming content for Star Wars: Battlefront II which will be coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC on 17th November with the trial now available on EA/Origin Access. This trilogy will be set in an unexplored corner of the Star Wars universe, focusing on a new cast of characters, and tell a wholly original story.
But what we do know if players will be getting two new maps based off worlds from the up and coming film and each week you'll get a chance to try out special modes and possibly earn some unique battlecards related to the event. Lucasfilm announced Star Wars: The Last Jedi writer/director Rian Johnson will slip back into the Star Wars world with a brand new trilogy.
Johnson will write and direct the new trilogy, while his longtime collaborator Ram Bergman will produce the films. He's the only writer credited for The Last Jedi, and that's the first time that's happened with a Star Wars movie since creator George Lucas did it with the prequels.
But Johnson proved to be a hit with just about everyone involved with The Last Jedi, and the cast gave him high praise during last spring's Star Wars Celebration.
The Star Wars actor went on to talk about a mind-blowing twist where Luke would get an evil clone from his severed hand.
Johnson passed on that project and has since been given to J.J. Abrams, leaving many to wonder why The Last Jedi director wouldn't want to return to a galaxy far, far away. Like all things Star Wars in this modern age, one wouldn't be remiss to look to the master behind the master.
